The Minneapolis/St. Paul’s StarTribune featured a Q&A with Horizontal Integration’s (HI) co-founder and EVP of Digital Agency, Chris Staley. The article covers the company’s year-over-year double-digit growth, marketing’s digital transformation and HI’s recent office move to St. Louis Park’s West End.
HI’s Digital Agency business was born in 2003 to integrate the marketing and technology disciplines as a unified team. Staley noted that the rest of the industry is now catching up to HI’s original business vision. Asked his take on traditional technology consultancies acquiring marketing firms, Staley explained, “On a national level, you are seeing firms like Accenture buy up digital creative agencies to make Accenture Digital or holding companies like IPG that owned traditional ad agencies such as Campbell Mithun buying up firms like Huge Inc. that focus on digital customer experiences or roll up firms like Razorfish and Sapient together.”
The company recently moved its headquarters from Minnetonka to St. Louis Park's West End. When asked about the recent move, Staley explained, “West End is the perfect place to get all the amenities that downtown has to offer with many suburban conveniences like plentiful parking, groceries, gym, etc., that are important to both our employees and our clients. We see West End as a surging business and creative hub.” HI’s modern, custom-built office space boasts large collaborative workspaces, a modular cafeteria with a fully stocked kitchen and an outdoor patio for grill-outs. As the company looks to cross $100 million in revenue this year, attracting great employees is key to delivering exceptional results for clients.
Staley added that HI plans to accelerate its growth trend by extending the company’s physical footprint beyond their current offices in Minneapolis, Denver, Chicago and Vadodara, India.
